There is no central trainee accountancy scheme within the GAS. Instead, individual departments and agencies operate their own training schemes to which they recruit as and when the need arises. If you are interested in working for a particular department or agency contact their personnel section in the first instance to find out if trainee vacancies exist at the moment. However, our experience is that most departments and agencies tend to recruit trainees from within the ranks of existing employees rather than externally.

Alternatively, you might like to enquire about more general vacancies with a view to securing a nomination onto a departmental/agency training scheme following a period of employment.
