HM Treasury: Help on information retrieval

 

Each of these ways to obtain information is described in more detail below. The purpose of providing different ways to use the service is to make sure that as many people as possible are able to use it, whatever their degree of expertise and however they are connected to the Internet. Exactly the same information is available using each method.

Email Mailing Lists

At present, the Treasury Internet Service supports two different electronic mailing lists:

PRESS list (Subscribers to this list automatically receive any Treasury press releases, shortly after they are released)

WHATSNEW list

The mailing lists are managed automatically. To join either list all you have send an email containing the folowing information:

  • To: maillist@hmt.gov.uk

  • Subject: leave blank

  • Body: SUBSCRIBE PRESS or SUBSCRIBE WHATSNEW

For information about other features of the electronic mailing lists, send an email message to maillist@hmt.gov.uk with the single word HELP in the body of the message.

To leave a mailing list, send an email to maillist@hmt.gov.uk containing the message: UNSUBSCRIBE listname
