The Contacts With Industry Scheme

HM Treasury run a scheme to encourage stronger contacts between officials and British Industry. We would like to hear from any firms interested in receiving a visit.

The visits generally last one day. We aim to agree an agenda in advance with the host company and decide all the issues to be covered. The format for the visit usually consists of a presentation by the firm, a tour of the factory floor and a discussion, but we are flexible about how they should be organised. We endeavour to match the size of the visiting group to your requirements and the availability of Treasury officials. It can range from a single person to a small group.

Bombardier Aerospace-Shorts, a participant in the sceheme, is a world leader in the design of and manufacture of major airframe components and close air defence systems and also provides aviation support. The company also owns and operates Belfast City Airport.
